14 days..... Or else!!!

I have found boondocking on BLM land to be full of variety.  No two locations are alike. ... Elevation, landscape, access, ect...
Enforcement of the rules can be non existing to excessive.  Obviously this traveler over stayed their welcome.
So beware! !!!

Tools of the trade

When I left my career a year ago, I hadn't thought much about the daily "grind" of traditional work. Gaining the freedom of being on the road still carries it's share of "work". This morning , after coming back from a walk, I noticed that my rear tire was partially deflated.....ughh!!!

Thank goodness I carry a tire repair kit, which includes : dc powered air compressor, tire pressure guage, plug kit, and........ Time. I have plenty of this since hitting the road.

I must have picked up this " gift " at my last camp in Ehrenberg.

So... Today's lesson for anyone " livin' the life of freedom" is be prepared for daily work, chores that can unexpectedly appear.

Work in progress

Being that my budget is somewhat modest and wanting to " tinker" with my home , my progress will be painfully slow. I recently bought my Dodge Xplorer 224 to replace my last shack being a Chevy Express van. I wanted someone retro and different this time. I pretty much gutted the " house" utilities and retrofitted more modern technology like solar electricity , newer plumbing. Removed the ridiculously small dinette area and is now mostly kitchen. My next mod is to add a wood stove for alternative heating. I currently use a Wave 3 propane heater up front but doesn't heat the rear very well. Down the road, exterior bodywork and paint will follow.   😎⛺🐶

A day in Hi Jolly

Always enjoy the stay here at Hi Jolly BLM as it's predictably quiet and peaceful. Great access to supplies and services just two miles to Quartzsite.  😎⛺🐶

Diversity among nomads

A beautiful day in Big River, CA. Currently camped at the BLM 14 day atea just across the Colorado River from Parker , AZ.
It's Been a year now, being "full time" and have met very interesting nomads along the way. Today I got to meet my " neighbor " as it came strolling into my camp. Pretty cool experience.
